Remember the following three truth’s from our beloved Scriptures!
“Ye shall NOT ADD TO THE WORD which
I command you, neither shall ye diminish from
it, that ye may keep the commandments of יְהוָה
אֱלֹהֵיכֶם (the LORD your Eloleichem)
which I command you”. Davarim -
Deuteronomy 4:2.
“This is My Name FOREVER, and this is My Memorial to ALL Generations”. Shemot - Exodus 3:15. (JPS).

When I pray, I speak to אֱלֹהִים - Elohim (God);
When I study, אֱלֹהִים speaks to me, through His Word..
With Rabbi, Dr. Reuven Ben Avraham-Goossens, PhD.
We hear from אֱלֹהִים - Elohim through our participation in liturgical (public worship) prayer, and also through the study of our beloved Tanakh!
That is not to say that we as human beings cannot ask אֱלֹהִים specific questions and hope for equally specific answers. Still, our all-knowing אֱלֹהִים rarely deigns to share the outcome of the World Series with the faithful in advance!
What seems more practical is to look to אֱלֹהִים יְהוָה - the LORD Elohim, blessed be His Sanctified Name, to answer our prayers by strengthening our ‘faith’, granting us ‘insight, and helping us find the ‘resolve’ and ‘courage’ to live lives infused with the finest human values.
There will never be anything based on praying
for ‘guidance’ or ‘patience,’ for ‘wisdom’ or for ‘strength’.
Avraham - Abraham, Yahoshua - Joshua, taught that prayer helps us to engage in what he called “radical amazement”. If we reach out to the mysteries of life, and so doing we rediscover the greatness of אֱלֹהִים from His Word.
In the end, te’fillah functions on the personal level as an affirmation of the private relationship of the prayer with אֱלֹהִים. On the national level, it serves as a daily reminder of the covenant between אֱלֹהִים and us the Hebrew people.
Through our prayers we continually assert the reality of both aspects of any individual’s relationship with יְהוָה אֱלֹהֵינוּ - the LORD our Elohim, blessed be His Sanctified Name, the personal and the communal.
We affirm and confirm the centrality of that multivalent relationship in our spiritual and ritual lives.

Conclusion, a Question to Deepen the Conversation:
Which part of the Tanakh study, or possibly a
particular line or statement within it has touched you the most? And
how do you feel about spending more time studying our beloved Tanakh? I pray
that you are doing well as a faithful Hebrew, and אֱלֹהִים - Elohim willing you are
upholding as many of our blessed Mitzvoth’s?
Dear reader, please remember
this, pray for peace and solitude in your life, and then work on keeping
as calm as possible and learn to improve your life, for אֱלֹהִים - בָּרוּךְ
אֱלֹהִים - Bless Elohim, He is
always there and ready to help and guide you!

He, said the following, via a number of our prophets...
“Return unto Me, and I will return unto you, saith צְבָאוֹת- יְהוָה- the LORD of hosts”. Mal’a’chi -
Malachi 3:7. MEC).
