The Jewish Prayer for the Sick
With Rabbi,
Dr. Reuven Ben Avraham-Goossens,
PhD.
I am sure that most of us will have prayed for an ill loved-one or a friend. And it is important for us to pray for those who are in need of healing in our community, and also for those we may know well and those who may not be Jewish.
Below is the prayer found in your Siddur which
is called “
YYYYYYY
May the One who blessed our ancestors,
Patriarchs Avraham,
May the Holy Blessed One overflow with compassion upon him/her, to restore him/her, to heal him/her, to strengthen him/her, to enliven him/her.
The One will send him/her, speedily, a complete healing, a healing of the soul and healing of the body, along with all the ill, among the people of Israel and all humankind, soon, speedily, without delay, and let us all say; Omein!

Note the transliterated text below presents the prayer with correct pronouns for male and female patients.

do a mitzvah and pray for those who need a healing for our Elohim, blessed be
He!
And remember our motto seen on the logo at the top of this page: “The More Torah, the More Life”, for יְהוָה - Elohim, blessed be His Sanctified Name, is the one who gave us our Life!
May the Shalom (Peace) of Elohim fill you,
your family and your home!
